We planned an Alaska RV trip for over a year. Now, it’s happening. We debated when to start and what route to take. Some things were decided for us. We had to leave our RV in North Carolina for the winter to have the leveling jacks repaired, and it won’t be ready until the end of March. Our son is getting married in Mesa, Arizona in April, so that gives us a specific time and place. We don’t have much time between North Carolina and Arizona, but we do plan to visit some interesting places along the way.
After the wedding, we want to visit the Grand Canyon. Then we want to go to Las Vegas to visit Fran’s Aunt. After that, we will make our way to Alaska. We want to be in Alaska the first week of June.
We have a hard stop date. We do our annual “Beach Week” the first week of August. (Except this year it’s at a lake house.) We are planning to drive the RV to Montana, store it for the week and fly to South Carolina. When we get back to Montana, we’ll head for Taos, New Mexico, for another Big Barn Dance. Then we’ll start slowly making our way back to Florida.
